Overview

Tab Sheriff helps you organize browser tabs by domain. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Locally stored only (free users): Your group names, domain rules, colors, and settings. This stays on your device.
Pro users only (saved to our servers): Saved workspace snapshots (tab URLs, titles, grouping), domain open counts (how often you visit domains), and domain active time (minutes spent per domain). We use this to provide cloud backup, restore, and analytics.

Domain tracking is off by default and is only enabled when you opt in via the Pro settings. If you enable it, we record:

Domain names (e.g. google.com) when you click into a tab — not full URLs.
Active time — how long the tab was focused, capped when you go idle (no keyboard/mouse for 60 seconds).

We do not track full browsing history or page content. Tracking only runs while the extension is installed and active.

Pro sign-in uses Google OAuth. We receive your email and profile info from Google to identify your account. We do not store passwords.

Pro data is stored securely with Supabase (supabase.co). We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.

You can export or delete your local data anytime. Pro users can stop using Pro features or delete their account to cease server-side data collection.
