Tab Sheriff is owned and operated by Distributed by Design Ltd.
Tab Sheriff helps you organize browser tabs by domain. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
If you use Copy kit in the extension popup (on the Main or Pro tab), the extension reads the active tab’s title and URL (to build the lines you copy) and can capture a screenshot of the visible tab when you ask. Clipboard and file saves happen on your device. We do not upload tab metadata from Copy kit, clipboard contents, or screenshots to our servers.
If you use Focus mode, Tab Sheriff saves a snapshot of each tab group’s collapsed/expanded state in local storage in your browser so it can restore the layout when you exit. We do not upload this data to our servers.
If you use Sound Sheriff in the extension, Tab Sheriff reads tab state from Chrome in your browser (for example which tabs are marked as playing audio or muted) and can mute or unmute tabs in the current window when you ask it to. That processing happens locally in Chrome. We do not upload which tabs are audible, mute state, or any audio content to our servers.
Domain tracking is off by default and is only enabled when you opt in via the Pro settings. If you enable it, we record:
We do not track full browsing history or page content. Tracking only runs while the extension is installed and active.
Pro sign-in uses Google OAuth. We receive your email and profile info from Google to identify your account. We do not store passwords.
Pro data is stored securely with Supabase (supabase.co). We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
You can export or delete your local data anytime. Pro users can turn off Sync group settings to stop syncing that payload to our servers from this browser (local groups remain until you change them). You can stop using other Pro features or delete your account to cease the relevant server-side data collection.
